Uddānam

Kārikā Prathamā

Of (an) adhi̩mukti̍, (is) bahu̩la̍tā, ¦

(upon a) dharma̩ pa̍ryeṣṭi̩ deśa̍na ̊ng. |

The prati̩patti̍, that ma̩nner, all toge̍ther, ¦

(tis) for ava̩vāda̍ ̊ng the a̍nu̩śāsa̍na. || 15.1 ||

Upāya Sahita Karma Vibhāge

Kārikā Dvitīyā

Which ma̍nner, the prati̩ṣṭhā̍, of these vana̩ dehi̍ ̊d pa̩rva̍ta ̊s ¦

pra̩vāhi̍n ̊ing, (is) the pṛthi̩vī̍, from bei̩ng on a̍ll sides. |

That manne̍r, ju̍st so̩, of dāna̍ ̊s a̍di̩śubha̍, from a̩ll sides, ¦

in these budha̍ ̊s, the karma̩ tri̍vi̩dha̍, (tis) ni̩rucya̍te ̊d. || 15.2 ||

Kārikā Tṛtīyā

By these su̍du̩ṣkara̍ ̊s, by these karma̩n ̊s, of u̍dyata̩ ̊d ā̩tma̍ ̊s, ¦

by these vi̩citra̍ ̊ng rū̩pa̍ ̊s, by these bahu̩ kalpa̍ ̊s ni̩rgata̍ ̊d, |

tis no̩t of kāya̍ vā̩k citta̍ maya̩ ̊ng, tis from the karma̍n. ¦

Unto the jina̍ ā̍tma̩ jānā̍ ̊ng, (doth) bha̩va̍ti̩, he̍re, sa̩nnati̍. || 15.3 ||

Kārikā Caturthā

Which ma̩nner, from viṣa̍, from (a) śastra̍ (of) mahā̩ a̩śa̍na, from (a) ri̩pu̍; ¦

ought be ni̩vāra̍yet ̊d, the ātma̩ hita̍ ̊ng, for sva̩, for the āśra̍ya. |

From (a) ni̩hīna̍ yā̩na̍, from (a) vivi̩dha̍, the jina̍ ā̍tma̩ ja̍, ¦

ought be ni̩vāra̍ye̩t ̊d; the karma̍, that manne̩r, (tis) for the traya̍ ā̍tma̩ka̍. || 15.4 ||

Kārikā Pañcamā

No̩t for the karmi̍ṇa̩, (is) the karma̍, no̩t of the karma̍ṇa̩, (is) for kriyā̍, ¦

whi̩ch ti̍me, the vi̩kalpa̍ samu̩dīkṣa̍te ̊s, in tri̩dhā̍. |

From tha̩t, of tha̍t, tha̩t karma̍, ‐ for vi̩śuddhi̍ pāra̩ ga̍ ‐, ¦

bha̩va̍ti ̊s, a̩nanta̍, therefo̩re, from the upā̍ya sa̩ṅgraha̍ ̊ng. || 15.5 ||
