Upon Practice Without Divisions
Kārikā Prathamā
In two ways, to selflessness, for a very sacred wisdom, ¦
(is) the one of wisdom, in these two pudgala dharmas. |
A double unrealness unification, ¦
ought be avoided, by the triad, indeed. || 13.1 ||
Kārikā Dvitīyā
The way of sacred wisdom, of all these dharmas, ¦
comprehends, to embrace 'sameness'. |
For learning the contentment of thought's cessation, ¦
the dharma sacred wisdom, tis by that, explained. || 13.2 ||
Kārikā Tṛtīyā
With an ordinary earthly living being, ˰ by knowledge, ¦
having penetrated against the duality; that manner, |
that, in the wisdom's general conclusion, ¦
for contemplative practice, increasingly he strides forth. || 13.3 ||
Kārikā Caturthā
From that, for knowledge, he grasps, ¦
for the world higher up, for the not so higher up, |
in the very foremost plateau, for comparison, with all ¦
bodhisattvas, then, with these egoic natured ones. || 13.4 |
Kārikā Pañcamā
Having manifested, is appearance shall be known. ¦
Of afflictions, tis for entire complete ruination. |
Shall be understood, tis for the non·obstruction wisdom, ¦
in cultivation, is to be turned to. || 13.5 ||
Kārikā Ṣaṣṭhā
By the principle of being without thought, ¦
by wisdom, with wandering about, |
for contemplative practice, one meanders, thus, ¦
in these remaining plateaus. || 13.6 ||
Upon Practice, In A Mindfulness Expedient Means
Kārikā Saptamā
Well apprehending, moreover, the self's principle abode, ¦
the good bhūmi plateau, the good companion, |
the yoga practice well going, endowed with good signs, tis the place, ¦
in which, the one of wisdom strides forth. || 13.7 ||
Kārikā Aṣṭamā
Much t'was mentioned, ˰ regarding the virtuous, ¦
the elequent, the completely compassionate one. |
Unweary, the bodhisattva, also, ¦
having known true being, is a great leader. || 13.8 ||
Kārikā Navamā
Self sustainment, well provisioned, ¦
good mental development, just so, the teaching, |
tis well leading onward with vigilance, and ¦
a persona joined together with excellence. || 13.9 ||
Kārikā Daśamā
From desire, from the moment of rebirth also, ¦
of well being, thereto, was the motive. |
From samādhi, of the examination, thereto, ¦
in the beginning, verily, was creating auspiciousness. || 13.10 ||
From Affliction, Just So, In The Affliction's Cessation
Kārikā Ekādaśā
The dharma's foundation separated from, ¦
from such, is the dharma not comprehended. |
From that, the desire foremost, of all of them, ¦
with these awakened ones, for cessation, are thoughts. || 13.11 ||
Kārikā Dvādaśā
The dharma's foundation being freed from, ¦
from such, is the dharma not realized. |
From that, in the defilement pointing out, ¦
it, of these fully perceiving ones of wisdom, tis the thought. || 13.12 ||
Kārikā Trayodaśā
From which, for them, in this way, for those passionate ones foremostly, ¦
fundamentally, (thought) it marches back around. |
Thence, tis evermore liberated, for them. ¦
By that (thought), of those (impassioned ones), the flow going forth, tis from that. || 13.13 ||
Śrāvaka, Pratyeka, and Buddha, Upon a Mental Effort Avoiding
Kārikā Caturdaśā
Not, indeed, of these victors begotten, ˰ for hindering, for suffering, for wrath, ¦
With these hell realm dwelling conditions, ˰ from a true cause, some how, |
Tis the equanimity in continuity characteristic's fault, ˰ turned to atrembling, in the Hīnayāna, ¦
an increasing adoration's splendid thought, ˰ the hinderance, of Bodhisattvas, indeed. || 13.14 ||
Kārikā Pañcadaśā
Not indeed, the lower hell abode, ˰ of these sages, for all time, ¦
from a pure vast awakened consciousness, ˰ for impediment, doth manifest. |
A self benificial highest bit of cold, ˰ in sooth, on another vehicle, the cognitive resonance, ¦
in highest contented tranquility meandering, ˰ moreover, for impediment, (doth) manifest. || 13.15 ||
Non Self Existence, In A Fundamental Original Nature's Complete Virtue With Anxiety Contradiction
Kārikā Ṣoḍaśā
The dharma's non·existence fully obtaining, and also ¦
an unblemished pureness! |
Māya's foremost similarity, so to be known, ¦
is the formless ākāśa's similarity, that manner! || 13.16 ||
Kārikā Saptadaśā
Which manner, similarly, upon the sky, in the right conditions, being varigated in colour, ¦
is not truly arisen, doth not exist, and is observed moreover, also. |
In unliving vibration, therefore, likewise, like that every manner, ¦
the duality, always not is, and is observed moreover, also. || 13.17 ||
Kārikā Aṣṭādaśā
Which manner, like that in moving water being roiled up, in rendering clear, ¦
not surpassed is she again, the purification, from elsewhere. |
The impurity's dragging down, indeed, it, therefore, (is) complete. ¦
In the self reflecting consciousness purification, the way, tis this, just so, assuredly. || 13.18 ||
Kārikā Navadaśā
Thought and cognition, (are) the primordial pure light of consciousness, ¦
constantly therefore, to adventitious malady defiled. |
Not the dharmatā, is unto thinking, apart from; tis otherwise, of consciousness, ¦
for the light's resplendence, in original nature, all encompasses. || 13.19 ||
Upon The Impassioned Born Misfortune Contradistinction
Kārikā Viṃśā
Of the bodhisattva, 'mongst these living beings, ¦
for loving kindness to purity going, tis to a great thing; |
which manner, in a child, from that, ¦
always, for advantage making, tis the intention. || 13.20 ||
Kārikā Ekaviṃśā
In these living sentient beings, tis an encouraged engagement. ¦
Not thus so, to downfall is he, to the passionate born. |
The malice tis hindered, in sooth, of that, ¦
in all these living beings, by the true path. || 13.21 ||
Kārikā Dvāviṃśā
Which manner, the pigeon hen, her chicks most highly loving, ¦
had a self nature of affection for them, having near to being concealed, it stands firm. |
That manner, to increasing virtue going, the aversion tis hindered, ¦
in offspring, like that; oh with compassion, thereto, in these embodied beings. || 13.22 ||
Kārikā Trayoviṃśā
The benevolent goodwill, from which aversion observing, from it, tis opposition. ¦
The tranquil mental bliss, from which, wavering observing, from it, is opposition. |
The path, from which, low conduct observing, from it, is opposition. ¦
The delight, from which, fear, not from that, tis to adversity. || 13.23 ||
Upon Practice with Divisions
Kārikā Caturviṃśā
Whereof, the patient, upon good medicine, ¦
in sensory existence, comes back around. |
Upon the patient, also which manner, the doctor, ¦
amongst these living beings, returns. || 13.24 ||
Kārikā Pañcaviṃśā
Upon being undeveloped, which manner, in the disciple, ¦
in ones self, it comes back around. |
Upon the merchant, which manner again, in trade, ¦
upon these desires, it comes back around. || 13.25 ||
Kārikā Ṣaḍviṃśā
Which manner, just so, the dyer of cloth, upon the garment, ¦
for action, comes back around. |
The parent, whereof, in begetting a child, ¦
upon a sentient being's non·harm, increasingly strides forth. || 13.26 ||
Kārikā Saptaviṃśā
Fire desiring, also, in bearing on the kindling sticks, ¦
in constancy, it comes around. |
Deep exhaling, also, ˰ in the attaining, ¦
in higher meditation, one strides forth. || 13.27 ||
Kārikā Aṣṭāviṃśā
The compassion, in action, like that, shall be known; ¦
with insight, she comes back around. |
The acquiring, which manner, wherein, ¦
of the bodhisattva, she, is the consciousness. || 13.28 ||
Upon Practice Of The Three Maṇḍala General Purification
Kārikā Navaviṃśā
Thus so, constantly, the most lofty engaged of the heroic, ¦¦
in duality maturing and purifying, well combined, |
with the highest stainless unwavering intellect, ¦¦
goes onward he, to empowerment, to the unsurpassed, by progress. || 13.29 ||
