|| Oṃ, namaḥ, sarva buddha bodhisattvebhyaḥ ||

The Way of Sacred Wisdom

Kārikā Prathamaḥ

The Way of Sacred Wisdom

The way of sacred wisdom, for a means of deep contemplation, resolves to enact, ‸ a revered text, with rays of light and with purities. ¦

Of suffering, for the crossing over, in the miserableness of born ones, ‸ from compassion, absorbed in that. |

Of the dharma, from a very highest way taught solemn act, ‸ in these living beings, thither, in obtaining. ¦

For being adhered, to the way of fate, for an unsurpassed manner of going, ‸ for the five natured, much visible. || 1.1 ||

The Five Fold Method

Kārikā Dvitīyaḥ

The Five Fold Method

Forged, indeed, to gold, ‸ to the rains born, otherwise, to the awakened. ¦

For kindness, just so, for feasting, ‸ for being possessed, tis the appetite, by maladies. |

Knowledge, like that, tis a well written book, ‸ a jewel basket, just so, set loose. ¦

The articulation, in this world, with outstanding virtue, ‸ for a rapture, on highest, manifest. || 1.2 ||

The Avoidance Method

Kārikā Tṛtīyaḥ

The Avoidance Method, A Śloka

Which manner, for a mirror, the adornment, ‸ is to a fundamental nature endowed with elemental characteristics the vanity going. ¦

Tis the remaining joyfulness, ‸ made to manifest, of these people, from feeling desire. |

That manner, is the dharma, well said, ‸ an original nature and qualities enjoined; therefore, perpetual. |

A secluded method, to contentment, ‸ made to be most distinguished here, of these saintly ones. || 1.3 ||

A Three Fold Good Result

Kārikā Caturthaḥ

A Three Fold Good Result (1)

Tis smelled, for the pungent, for the sweet taste, which manner, for the herbs; tis like that, also, |

the dharma, duality’s calm abiding, from shining, the means, not also shall be perceived. || 1.4 ||

Kārikā Pañcamaḥ

A Three Fold Good Result (2)

O’ King, just so, difficult to obtain, is the dharma, for this one: the great man strong sagacious, |

accomplished also; like that, the obstructing attributes of acquired wealth bestowing exists. || 1.5̇ ||

Kārikā Ṣaṣtaḥ

A Three Fold Good Result (3)

Tis a jewel beautiful and worthless, which manner, for an uncritical person, doth not bring contentment. |

The dharma, that manner, tis (for this one) this, for the unawakened; from a frantic going all about, it brings being content, like that. || 1.6 ||

A First Practice Method, Making Separation, Having Commenced

Kārikā Saptamaḥ

A First Practice Method, Making Separation, Having Commenced, A Śloka

At first, tis from the non manifestation of a co·occurance, from the lack of a range of action of the siddhi empowerment. |

In existence and nonexistence, tis from nonexistence, from opposition, from shrieking otherness. || 1.7 ||

By Equanimity, in Disjunction

Kārikā Aṣtamaḥ

By Equanimity, in Disjunction, A Ślokaḥ

Before the eyes, from seeing, these Buddhas, ¦

of the teaching, and these protectors, |

is the vibrationless calm abiding śakti knowledge; |

from equanimity, is one not ensnared. || 1.8 ||

Of the Śrāvakayāna, Upon A Mahāyānaful Unsuitableness

Kārikā Navamaḥ

Of the Śrāvakayāna, Upon A Mahāyānaful Unsuitableness, A Śloka

From agitation, from adversity, from lacking skillful means, tis that manner; therefore, from lacking instruction. |

Not, for the Śrāvakayāna, doth this exist; the Mahāyāna dharma so proclaimed. || 1.9 ||

Upon An Increasing Hindurance

Kārikā Daśamaḥ

Upon An Increasing Hindurance, A Ślokaḥ

Of the fundament of mind, of the mean’s elucidation, ¦

of the bringing together, tis an increasing hindurance there from, |

of encouragement, of time; ¦

whence, tis to a lack, to a fault, like that, therefore. || 1.10 ||

Upon the Nature of Non·Obstruction

Kārikā Ekādaśaḥ

Upon The Nature of Non·Obstruction, A Śloka

Upon a friend, from the guiding avatāra, ‸ of the self identity certainly, ¦

in the vows of vinaya, from the revelation also, |

from generosity, therefore from composure, ¦

tis unobstructed, like that, the essence of the dharma. || 1.11 ||

Upon Conjecture and The Object of Sense, A Disjunction

Kārikā Dvādaśaḥ

Upon Conjecture and The Object of Sense, A Disjunction, A Śloka

Dependent upon, unmeasurable, inadequate of extent, ¦

is a perceptual judgement; tis having a weariness, moreover. |

The simple locus, is thought, is conjecture; ¦

of that, therefore, the object of sense, tis not that. || 1.12 ||

Upon Expedience Yoga

Kārikā Trayodaśaḥ

Upon Expedience Yoga, Ślokaḥ

From generosity, likewise, from composure, ¦

is the fruit of action, a tranquil inaction. |

The lesson, from this, tis of the duality, in this; ¦

it, also, is the expedient means, in having none higher. || 1.13 ||

Upon The Impermanence Trembling Fear Of Affliction, By Causality

Kārikā Caturdaśaḥ

Upon The Impermanence Trembling Fear Of Affliction, By Causality, A Ślokaḥ

So also now, tis the trembling fear of impermanence, ‸ exists, of these living beings, the burning pyre making. ¦

From the great auspicious elements of being ‸ bringing forth a physical mind and heart, tis for a long coming together. |

Without clan, without friend, ‸ undoing the focused mind anew, tis an unthinking most auspicious. ¦

Trembling, in this, in the dharma, ‸ it decends from a great thing, from a skillful means, the way going, in this world. || 1.14 ||

Upon Valor’s Causality

Kārikā Pañcadaśaḥ

Upon Valor’s Causality, A Śloka

So also, the other ones, from a non·existence; ‸ from highest unfathomableness, from going after. ¦

Tis of a wonder, from the telling; ‸ from a way of life (and) a story, entwined together, from many a source. |

Which manner, the story, tis not from skillful means; ‸ in a Bhagavati, also from an existence very deep. ¦

Not in the dharma, from this, is the anxiety; ‸ exists, of these sages, from karmic seed gathering together. || 1.15 ||

Upon Deeply Entering Into Knowledge Inquisitivity

Kārikā Ṣoḍaśaḥ

Upon Deeply Entering Into Knowledge Inquisitivity, A Śloka

The teaching, having gone to, in the beginning; ‸ brings forth a mental construct, here, fundamentally. ¦

The mental construct unknowing; ‸ brings forth, also, an empty sort of object of sense. |

Thereupon, the dharma entering; ‸ comes forth also, in that, a contemplative intellect, from this. ¦

Which time, for every self, is she; ‸ praytell, is, in that, the resolution. || 1.16 ||

Upon Valor’s Foundation Firm Standing

Kārikā Saptadaśaḥ

Upon Valor’s Foundation Firm Standing, A Śloka

I am not one who comprehends, nor deep of perception. ¦

The Buddha is deep?, for what!, for an illogical understanding!. |

Wherefore, for a deep skillful means knowing one, tis not emancipation. ¦

Just so, this, for a much trembling foundation, tis not enjoined. || 1.17 ||

Upon A Lack 0f Confidence, Just So, Therefore The Attainment

Kārikā Aṣṭādaśaḥ

Upon A Lack 0f Confidence, Just So, Therefore The Attainment, A Śloka

The defective determination, tis from a much deficient foundation, ¦

by wants, by companions, of these being surrounded. |

In a generosity and composure well taught, in this, ¦

in the dharma, is foremost confidence; if not, is for the empowerment thereto. || 1.18 ||

Upon The Untaught Final Sūtra Throwing Aside Unbound

Kārikā Navadaśaḥ

Upon The Untaught Final Sūtra Throwing Aside Unbound, A Śloka

With taught knowledge going after, verily, for an opinion overjoyed, ¦

having obtained, amongst the unlearned, tis he whom creates a lower knowledge. |

In teaching, upon astonishment, upon existence, also upon the immeasurable, ¦

in the remaining, from whence, without doubt, doth go the dullard. || 1.19 ||

The Superficial, In Attention Upon An Object’s Fault

Kārikā Viṃśaḥ

The Superficial, In Attention Upon An Object’s Fault, A Śloka

Which manner, in an undivided means, upon an object of cognition idea, ¦

the self contrived opinion, to a detriment, approaches, from discerning intellect; |

for the self explained, also it rejects, unto a fault also. ¦

It firmly grasps hold, upon the dharma, for a hindrance, in this way. || 1.20 ||

Upon A Hindrance Disenjoined

Kārikā Ekaviṃśaḥ

Upon A Hindrance Disenjoined, A Śloka

Pure consciousness disordered, original nature corrupt, ¦

[......] indeed, a disenjoined form, |

before, like that, twas of much doubt going, upon the dharma. ¦

From that, tis the equanimity, just so, preferably indeed, faultless. || 1.21 ||
