Gotra Prabheda Saṅgraha English
Kārikā Prathamaḥ
The truest perfection, the self·existence also, ¦
to characteristic mark, tis the gotra differentiated. |
The distress, the benefit also, ¦
a two·fold, for comparison, tis the four·fold division. || 3.1 ||
Kārikā Dvitīyaḥ
Of these constituent elements, of the deteremination also, ¦
from perception, and the difference, |
from the resultant effect's separation in appearance also, ¦
tis the gotra's existence can be perceived. || 3.2 ||
Kārikā Tṛtīyaḥ
Above the highest perfection, then in absoluteness, ¦
in a great purposefulness, for an imperishable essence also, |
of virtue, that, from a characteristic of causality, ¦
the gotra's highest perfection, doth all encompass. || 3.3 ||
Kārikā Caturthaḥ
By original nature, tis cherished also ¦
the ground of being, and the mental object also; that, |
the true and untrue, also, in this way, tis the perceived object. ¦
Tis a guṇa attribute freeing virtue, from skillful means. || 3.4 ||
Kārikā Pañcamaḥ
For compassion, tis confidence, and ¦
patience also, from the highest enjoining. |
The practice, of virtue, indeed, ¦
in the gotra, for a characteristic mark, tis perceived. || 3.5 ||
Kārikā Ṣaṣtaḥ
Certain general rules constrained, to a gotra's ¦
honourable noble one, shall be acquired; just so also, |
with these secondary causes, the gotra's division, this, ¦
by aggregate accumulation, tis the fourfold. || 3.6 ||
Kārikā Saptamaḥ
The affliction's constant repetition, the deceitfulness, ¦
the obstacle, the dependency on others; |
of the gotra, the affliction, shall be understood, ¦
by the congregation, four fold. || 3.7 ||
Kārikā Aṣtamaḥ
After a long time eating, tis a calamity coming; ¦
quickly, is the liberation, also therein, and |
the body suffering a near to total emotional preception, ¦
with envigorating real maturation. || 3.8 ||
Kārikā Navamaḥ
For the golden hued gotra qualities, to be known, ¦
shall be the immeasurable splendid ground of being, |
the knowledge of stainlessness, of these yoga practice ¦
strengths, and a refuge. || 3.9 ||
Kārikā Daśamaḥ
The precious jewel like gotra qualities, shall be known, ¦
from the great awakened intellect's characteristic mark, |
from the great knowledge exalted samādhi and most noble ¦
great true way of refuge. || 3.10 ||
Kārikā Ekādaśaḥ
Necessary, in an ill going conduct, is somebody, ¦
someone, an all conquering pure action of dharmā. |
The non·liberation belonging to desire, is anyone. ¦
An impoverished man's purity is, therefore, the cause forsaken. || 3.11 ||
Kārikā Dvādaśaḥ
Upon profundity most elegantly speaking, ˰
for a benevolent effect of producing, ˰
— t'was in expounding, upon the lofty dharma, ¦
·
a non·cogitation, similarly, a confidence, ˰
exists, goodly much, ˰
a complete calm abiding patience also. |
·
an accomplishment also, in conclusion, ˰
a dual manner going highest, ˰
which exists, just so, of those. ¦
·
That, shall be known, from the bodhisattva ˰
fundamental nature's essence endowed with characteristics, ˰
that, tis from blossoming forth, and from the gotra. || 3.12 ||
Kārikā Trayodaśaḥ
For the very great quality of an awakened intellect's tree like growth, ¦
for the acquired wealth happiness sorrow dispassion's appearance also, |
the self·benevolent tranquility expedient means, from the fruition, ¦
exists with foundation; tis an exalted gotra, this. || 3.13 ||
